Yes folks, months of working and socialising too much has finally hit me. Spent the afternoon at work with palpatations and short of breath as a result of not enough rest and too much coffee. I checked my bank balance yesterday and for the first time in my life found myself praying I'd been the victim of fraud - alas, twas not to be, unless the fraudster happened to be following me about for the last three weeks withdrawing money at precisely the same time I was.
Still, mustn't grumble, have been looking for an excuse to get out of the drinking & smoking cycle for months now, and now I have hit upon the perfect reason. Poverty.
So plans for the next few weeks involve sleeping, finally getting the bus to work again after 6 months of tube travel, shopping on a budget at Tesco and avoiding Chicken Cottage (3 nights in a row last week - go me), and clearing out my head, liver and lungs. I can't wait.
Of course, I get paid again the day before St Patricks Day, so no doubt my clean living will continue long after that.....
